10 prompts to try in your first 10 minutes

Hey,

The fastest way to understand AI isn’t watching a two-hour explainer. It’s feeling it do something genuinely useful for you, once. That click, “oh, THIS is what people mean,” only happens when you actually use it on something real.

So no theory today. Three prompts you can paste in the next ten minutes, on something you actually have in front of you. Steal them, swap in your details, and watch what happens.

» Why you should start with prompts, not theory » Three to try right now » The full starter pack

⚡ Start by doing

People think they need to “learn AI” before they can use it. It’s backwards. You learn it by using it. Ten minutes of pasting real prompts teaches you more than a week of passive watching, because you start to feel how it responds to you.

So we’re skipping straight to the doing. Open ChatGPT or Claude, grab something real, an email, a decision, a thing you don’t understand, and try these.

🎯 Three to try

1. Make anything clearer. Got a clunky message, caption, or paragraph? Paste it with: “Rewrite this to be clearer and shorter without losing my meaning or my voice: [paste].” This one is instantly useful on something you’re already writing.

2. Understand anything fast. Stuck on a concept, a contract, a topic at work? “Explain [thing] like I’m smart but completely new to it. Use one real-world analogy, then tell me the one thing most beginners get wrong.” You’ll get further in two minutes than an hour of googling.

3. Make it critique its own work. This one feels like a cheat code. After it writes something for you, say: “Now act as a tough editor. Point out the three weakest parts of what you just wrote, then fix them.” It catches its own fluff, and the second version is almost always sharper.

Pick one. Do it right now, before you close this email. The feeling of it actually working is the whole point.

Keep it open in a tab this week and use one a day. That’s how this stops being a thing you “should get into” and becomes a thing you actually use.
